EdUpdate 2008-01-19

Hi,

Friday (opening day of the play) I heard from CSB School of Broadcasting.

( www.goCSB.com ) I've been welcomed aboard as an evening class instructor! That really means a lot to me! I have a lot to learn to get started there, so I won't be able to audition for any of the upcoming theater that my director has coming up. He has auditions for "Cannibals, The Musical" coming up this next Saturday the 26th, and he was hoping for me to audition for a part then. Oh well.

The CSB School of Broadcasting has classes on radio, script writing, reading on air, voice over, interpretation, adlib, audio editing and production, and many other things that I already do! Since I am a student of life, this job will be as much of an education for me, as it is for the students. There is a lot to learn in being an instructor, I'm sure!

There are classes also for television broadcasting and production which would be great for me to learn! I think this can move me closer to the film school dreams that I still haven't let go! It's great how things seem to be building on each other into a structure.

Things are going fine here at the radio station. (www.kkvv.com)  I have my seven year anniversary coming up on Memorial Day.  I still live in back of the station in what I affectionately call the "EdCave". The time I've had working and living here, I have grown tremendously mentally, spiritually, and more. The body weight part is something I am so not proud of!

Opening night of the play went great. Lots of local theater buffs, friends and family of the other cast members, etc. A few funny stories to tell of missed lines, adlibs, and cover-ups, but that's the way it goes! Since it's kind of a tragi-comedie, there was audience laughter in a lot of different places, some expected places, some not! Ha ha!

I've really learned a lot by being in this play, and it has helped me build more on my personal character by taking part in it! I've learned much more about interpreting scripts and characters etcetera which will always help me in the voice acting work that I do!

My voice-over website will take a new direction this year too. Voiceopolis will steer away from the podcast industry. It seems anyone wanting my services in that realm want dime store prices for my work. That makes not even worth my time!

The instructor job will help me pay down the loans on my big ol' motorcycle, my auto & etc. Since the weather should be warming up, I'll be riding more, which means I want to buy a few more comfort features for the bike!

I am starting to see a decrease of the measure of my body weight on the scale. This is from making a few adjustments to the diet and a wee bit more exercise of the body! So this year seems to be getting of to a good start. I wish the best for you and yours also!
